The Maury County School Board approved the new attendance areas at the 10/29 school board meeting for our northern area elementary and middle schools. Since the redistricting plans have been approved, the district will move ahead in compiling street lists for both Battle Creek Schools as well as Howell, Spring Hill and Wright Elementary Schools and Spring Hill Middle. After street lists have been formulated, those along with other details will be distributed to families by schools that are included in the redistricting. These streets lists along with other details surrounding the attendance areas will be placed online and announced on the district's social media pages. Throughout the remainder of the school year, families zoned to Battle Creek will receive ongoing information in preparation for the beginning of school on August 1.

The Battle Creek principal position has been posted; link to apply here. Administration and any staff that will be hired prior to August 1 will be announced. Interviews would take place around the end of November. We anticipate a hiring decision and announcement on or before winter break which begins December 20. It's our plan that the new leader would be put into place January 2019. Stay tuned here for any updates regarding administration or staff.
